The Magazine Set

The Magazine Set

The Magazine Set is the heart of the project. Three volumes that bring together the complete text of Pride and Prejudice with a parallel world of fashion stories, imagined advertisements, and historical detail.

Every page was designed as a conversation between past and present. Regency silhouettes meet twenty first century creativity. Editorials reimagine the spaces and manners of Austen’s world. Advertisements bring to life the designers, makers, and personalities who might have filled the pages of an 1813 magazine.

The result is a set unlike anything that has come before. Each page is alive with detail, a balance of elegance and imagination that transforms reading into an experience. To turn the pages is to enter a vision of Austen’s world made tangible, surprising, and unforgettable.

Behind the Set

The Three Volume Set follows the rhythm of the three volumes which formed the first edition of 1813, presented as Austen’s readers once held it, but reimagined for the twenty first century.

Every volume is informed by the same breadth of research. Collections at the V&A, the National Portrait Gallery, Chawton House, the British Library, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Kyoto Costume Institute sit alongside historical references, society records, and the vibrant Janeite research community online. For a complete list of all our research points please visit: www.prideandprejudice.uk/references.

The set became a stage for both .ai experimentation and design speculation. The fashions, objects, and interiors were not reconstructed as museum pieces but imagined as if seen anew, their atmosphere brought to life in ways that resonate with a contemporary eye.

Change of Mind: Books and Other Physical Products

As a small independent publisher, we ask customers to treat each order as a considered purchase and to review the photographs, dimensions, weight and product details carefully before ordering.

If you change your mind, contact us within 14 days of receiving your order. You then have a further 14 days to return it.

The item must be returned carefully packaged and in its original, resaleable condition. If it has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it and this has reduced its value, we may deduct that reduction from the refund.

Return postage for unwanted items is the customer’s responsibility. We recommend using a tracked and insured service, as the item remains your responsibility until it reaches us.

Magazines and Periodicals

The statutory right to cancel does not normally apply to newspapers, periodicals or magazines. We encourage customers to review the product details carefully before purchasing.
