The Pemberley Sessions: Digital Edition
Pride and Prejudice: The Pemberley Sessions is an original album created as part of the Pride and Prejudice Novel Magazine world.
The songs are imagined from Elizabeth Bennet’s point of view, moving through the emotion, wit, misjudgement, longing and revelation of Austen’s story. They are not a musical adaptation in the traditional sense, but a soundtrack for the thoughts Lizzy does not quite say aloud.
This Digital Edition includes the full album as high-quality MP3 files, together with cover artwork and a digital contents booklet including the lyrics for each song.

The Track List
01 - It is a Truth
The most famous first line in English fiction is rejected wholeheartedly by Lizzy. Everyone says a man of fortune must want a wife. Lizzy hears the trap in the sentence and sings back: What about love, respect, desire, and being seen for your soul?
Listen to the full opening track.
02 - Seven Thousand Days
Jane is ill at Netherfield, exposed. Lizzy held at bay, in Longbourn by her mother finally rushes to her side. She walks through mud, rain and judgement because her sisterhood rooted in deep love is activated and today it is a rescue mission.

03 - Easy Man
Wickham does not enter like a villain. That is the danger. He is charming, wounded, handsome, easy to talk to, and exactly the sort of man who makes a clever girl forget she is clever. Could Lizzy fall for this Easy Man?

04 - Charlotte Settles
Charlotte accepts Mr Boiled Potatoes, and Lizzy is left trying to be loyal while privately horrified. A song about friendship, compromise, lost pride, and the life Charlotte will never have.

05 - Dear Darcy Part 1
Unlike the scene songs, Dear Darcy follows the whole Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam's story. Part I, their early encounters, the insult, the sparring. In both Part 1 and 2 you will find Elizabeth, late night, at her writing desk, penning letters to clear her head. The letters of course are thoughts and never sent.

06 - Dame of Rosings
Rosings is not a visit, it is a performance of rank. Lady Catherine talks in circles around herself, and Lizzy becomes the new toy on the shelf, pulled down, prodded, inspected, and expected to be grateful.

07 - The Letter
Darcy’s letter detonates the story. Wickham shifts. Jane shifts. Darcy shifts. Worst of all, Lizzy shifts. Every judgement she has enjoyed making now has to be picked up, examined, and possibly thrown away.

08 - Pemberley
Lizzy arrives as a visitor and finds herself ambushed by beauty. The house, the grounds, the water, the stillness, all of it begins to argue for Darcy before he even appears. This is the moment attraction becomes landscape.

09 Dear Darcy Part 2
Dear Darcy Part II completes Elizabeth's private mirror of every Elizabeth and Darcy meeting. The same imagined address returns, but Lizzy has changed. What began as irritation and judgement becomes recognition, self-knowledge, and the realisation that Darcy has more layers than your average onion.

10 - Obstinate Headstrong Girl
Lady Catherine comes to crush a rumour and leaves Lizzy alone with herself. Angry at the insult. Angry that it landed. Angry, perhaps, because obstinate headstrong girl is not entirely wrong.
30 Second Preview.
11 - Our Love Story
A year after the birth of their first child, Lizzy writes to capture the private version of the romance. Not the drawing room story. The real one, misunderstanding, injury, challenge, choice, of being loved.
